Position Description

Position Description:

  • Manages team of client consultants in order to deliver client satisfaction and financial advisor satisfaction
  • Ensures development of Client Consultants with their relationship with plan sponsors and financial advisors
  • Selects, trains, evaluates, coaches and counsels employees. Administers human resources policies and procedures
  • Sets performance goals and standards and ensures that they are met
  • Achieves profitable growth
  • Escalates issues as needed
  • Ensures employees understand how the work they do impacts the Division strategy
  • Leads Client Consultants within the Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit and Non-Qualified business in developing and executing proactive, creative, contact initiatives intended to identify and satisfy client needs
  • Leads team to meet reference, retention, and profitability goals as set by the segment
  • Manages day-to-day activities of staff responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing client relationships
  • Participates in client visits, participant meetings and finals presentations on and off site, as needed
  • Implements continuous process improvements
  • Partners with overall management team to provide high client satisfaction and retention
  • Partners with other client-facing management staff to ensure consistent client-servicing practices
  • Manages budget and staff appropriately
  • May be responsible for preferred financial advisor relationships
  • Works on or leads special projects, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related business experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in Retirement Services, Financial Services or related industry
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer service 
  • Proven leadership skills 
  • Proven ability to recognize trends and identify corrective actions 
  • Knowledge of capacity, staffing, and expense management 
  • Proven ability to re-engineer workflows/processes to improve cost/service results 
  •  Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6, 63, 26 or able to obtain within 120 days of employment
