Description

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to provide comprehensive oversight, education, and management of the clinical research revenue cycle at UCLA health. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with various schools, departments, and institutes within UCLA Heath, as well as partner departments in UCLA Health, to ensure seamless operations and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

You will:

  • Oversee clinical research revenue cycle operations, including billing compliance and revenue organization
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to address changes in the clinical research landscape and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to institutional leaders and stakeholders to advance the clinical research enterprise in alignment with institutional goals
  • Manage system billing, reporting, and support services to ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for clinical research services.
  • Supervise a team of professional coding analysts, providing leadership and guidance to ensure accountability and stewardship of department resources
Salary Range: $86,900-197,300/annually

Qualifications

We're seeking a self-motivated, highly-detailed individual with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in billing/collections, specifically research billing highly desired
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle management principles, encompassing charge master, billing, coding, and compliance regulations
  • Robust project management experience, including task organization, deadline management, and efficient delegation
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of all relevant information technology, including systems, tools, applications, processes, and methodologies
